Hi Friends! I am sure on Valentine’s Day you imagined being out at a restaurant with your family or on a romantic adventure with your loved one buuuuut once again…COVID. I’ve come up with a list of fun at home date night ideas to still make your loved one feel special this Valentine’s Day! B L A N K E T   T E N T

No you are not too old for a blanket tent. Hang up some sheets, throw blankets on some chairs, or order an awesome tent from amazon! String up some lights, add some candles! Order in your favorite meal, go for a pizza night, or make your favorite dessert (fondue, or chocolate dipped strawberries are my favorite), and don’t forget the wine! Play some music or play a game together. Whatever you choose you can’t go wrong, everything is better in a blanket tent😉

We love movie nights at our house! For Valentine’s Day switch up where and how you watch your favorite romantic comedies! Get into your Valentine’s Day comfy’s, hook up a projector, and tac up a white sheet! Don’t forget a bowl of popcorn and your favorite red wine🍿

Try your own at home couples cooking course! This could be fun with your significant other, your whole family, or another couple. Pick a meal you’ve never made before, buy all the ingredients, and print instruction cards for everyone like an actual cooking class! Everyone can make their own dish and do the steps all at the same time. Put some music on and you’ll be wanting to make it a yearly tradition!

I do a spa night for myself just about every Sunday and its amaaaazing. For Valentine’s Day maybe grab a mask for both you and your partner, some champagne, maybe even some massage oil. Enjoy a night full of pampering!

Resort From Home! Bring your favorite place to stay to you! Sleep in a different room of your home, keep the tv off, pop the bubbly, and enjoy some quality time together. If you don’t have a spare room in your home, maybe take your mattress off your bed and put it in your living room? in front of a fire place? Scott and I moved our guest mattress for Christmas Eve downstairs to be by the fire and the Christmas tree, we loved it so much when we got home from a long weekend with family we spent another two nights down there!

Just because you are stuck at home doesn’t mean you can’t throw on a dress, some heels and enjoy your evening all dressed up! Order in from your local restaurant, light some candles, turn on some music and dance the night away in your living room 

I hope this gives you some ideas as to what you can do for Valentine’s Day to still make it feel special. Scott and I will be combining blanket tent and movie night into one! Pop some pop corn and uncork the wine, perfect date night in for us!
