Monday’s are for fresh starts Friends! So I am starting out this Monday talking about health and wellness. I started this new year with some goals in mind and one of them being getting my health back on track. Through the holidays and Covid there has been a little too much wine, a little too much snacking, and little gym time. So! I started off this new year with a cleanse and some fresh health goals!

I wanted to make sure I got some positive and encouraging results before I shared with you all! Some might be wondering what is a cleanse? Do you have to starve yourself? Where/how do I get the right juices? I am definitely not a nutritionist, I just wanted to share what has worked for me! I hope my experiences can benefit you as well☺️

I have done cleanses before and it’s never been to lose weight. I am the type of person that if I start binging on chips and salsa, spaghetti, and chocolates, my body then wants it allllll the time. Cleanses are an awesome way to reset your system! I have only done 3 days cleanses at the most and those always do the job for me. It’s enough time to reset my cravings, detoxify my body and start to feel like myself again.

Here in Seattle we have Pressed Juicery! They are so great! You can either order online and go pick up your entire order or get it delivered! They make it super easy, all your bottles are labeled and you drink 6 juices a day! With all the liquid you are drinking I never felt super hungry. Once I was done it was so much easier to go back to healthier eating!

With Pressed Juicery you do have to keep them refrigerated, obviously super easy if you are working from home but if that doesn’t work for you I have some easier, cheaper, and just as effective options!

My on-the-go cleanse or just healthy drink options in general are these single serve powder packets. They taste great, nothing needs to be refrigerated and are so perfect for throwing in your purse! Try a three day cleanse, reset your body, drop some water weight and thank me later! haha. Now that I have shared how I have jump started my health goals for 2021, I’ll share some of those goals with you.

Get Moving Daily

I have always been someone that needs to move daily. It clears my mind and sweating it out just feels good. That doesn’t mean its easy for me at times to get motivated, especially when the gyms keep opening and closing right now. I was able to get a few home gym items for less than 150 dollars! I LOVE not having to rely on the gym and even getting in a quick 20 minute home session feels better than nothing! Here are some links I ordered for my home gym.

Nightime Routine

My husband and I have started a No Electronics 1 Hour Before Bed goal. It’s been SO helpful with getting me to relax and turn my mind off. My sleep since we started this has changed dramatically. I either read a book, or we play this marriage conversation game (sounds so nerdy but I highly recommend just for fun), or we just enjoy our time together.

Less Instagram

Less screen time, more life. I know that screen time is literally my job right now but I too often waste time by scrolling and scrolling and scrollllllllling! I find myself at every down time picking up my phone…mindlessly scrolling…comparing….feeling less than. My intention this year is to use Instagram for work purposes, to try and bring more people to my site. For healthier and more productive things than just scrolling.

Vitamins and Supplements

I feel so much better when I am consistently taking my vitamins. I have a subscription with Ritual . Best decision I’ve made, they come monthly, never have to run out and restock, they just show up. They have women’s daily, men’s, and even a prenatal. Living in the state of Washington (capital of the rain) I also take plenty of Vitamin D and some zinc to help with my immune system.

I have also started drinking my greens every morning. It helps tremendously with bloat, inflammation, and fatigue. For someone like me that is always bloated and holding water weight drinking Bucked Up Greens every morning has taken my bloat away and gives me so much energy to start my day! I drink the mixed berry flavor and its amazing!

Get to the Ocean

This might look different for everyone, my happy place is where the ocean and beach is. Yours might be the woods or a lake, wherever that might be, GET OUT IN NATURE! Nature is food for the soul. I LOVE the ocean, something about breathing in the salty air, and hearing the waves brings me so much peace. Make time in your week to be out in nature.

Fueling My Dream

I have always had a passion for home decor/design. I have finally had the courage to try and see where it goes. Learning all I can about my passion just sets my soul on fire. Starting this blog, finding home decor, doing diy projects to turn our house into a home is bringing me pure JOY! I still have A LOT to learn but I am having so much fun on this wave of life. If there is something you are passionate about, chase that. There is happiness in that.

So these are my health goals and focuses for 2021. Kind of all over the place but as always please give any feedback or questions! Have a good week my friends and hopefully this helps you kick off your week on the right foot!
