Hello all! In our home we obviously don’t have a completely white kitchen. We have white cabinets with dark grey counters. This helps break up the white but I have gotten questions on how to make an all white kitchen more appealing, stand out, or give it some warmth. I love all white kitchens, I think they look timeless and you can create such a neutral home with the ability to incorporate on trend items. So today I am sharing some of my thoughts on how to warm up your white kitchen!

Change out hardware! This is super simple and something that can be inexpensive. Changing out your hardware to a brass (my absolute favorite) or to a black can bring some warmth and depth to all the white. Brass is such a good tone against white and makes a kitchen feel all warm and cozy.

Add in some warm touches here and there. Adding in wood elements is my favorite way to warm up any space but especially a kitchen. Try a wood tray on the counter, wood stools at the bar, put in some wood floating shelves, a wood fruit bowl, or even the smallest touch of wood utensils in your utensils jar! Below I’ve attached some great wood accent finds for your kitchen!

Incorporate some green into your kitchen. Easiest way I found to do this is to add your favorite vase to your counter and change out some faux plants with each season! This keeps it different and festive! I also added a simple 3M hook to the space above my stovetop, I add a small wreath here of some kind. This also changes with the season. Last suggestion is if you have a coffee bar in your kitchen try adding a small plant near that as well. Its the small touches that make the biggest difference!

Add textures to your kitchen through rugs and hand towels! Hand towels might be the easiest way to add some color, texture and warmth to your kitchen! They are simple and inexpensive to pick up, and you can never make a wrong choice. They may be the least stressful choice to change up your kitchen. haha. Rugs are also a great choice, adding some soft pinks, greens, or browns always gets me. In my kitchen I added a runner between the island and the back counter, you can also add one just below your sink, or under your dining table if you have an open concept living space. I have a whole post on rugs that you can find here if you would like some more Inspo!

Let there be light! We all have recessed lighting in our kitchens but have you thought about adding pendant lights? You can do so much with pendant lights. They can be inexpensive, just depends on where you shop. They are easy to install and can change the whole look of your island, or sink space. This is also a great option if you are in a rental! Trying to add your own touch to an apartment or rental home can be hard without doing something permanent,  lighting is not permanent, it will not cause any damage that you have to fix before you move out and can make a huge difference while you are in the home!
